WoolSafe & CleanSeal Approved, the company and the person
Wool is the fiber most fine rugs are made of, and it is unforgiving of the wrong chemistry. The WoolSafe Organisation is an independent body that tests cleaning products and vets cleaning firms, so its approval means the solutions and methods used on your wool rug are proven safe for the fiber, its lanolin, and its dyes. CleanSeal is its companion mark covering the same standard of care across carpet and textile cleaning more broadly.
Fiber Specialties holds this approval three times over. The IICRC, the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification, is the standards body for the cleaning and restoration trades. It writes the S100 professional cleaning standard and certifies technicians who pass its coursework and exams. Our team holds IICRC certifications including the Rug Cleaning Technician specialty, which covers exactly what its name says: the washing of area and oriental rugs as a separate discipline from carpet cleaning.
Here the paper trail is threefold: the firm itself and both Master Rug Cleaners are registered.
